Background:

Thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction. It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin. The interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity (By similarity).

VALIDATION IMAGES

Hela cell lysates probed with Calponin (19A1) Monoclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bsm-52358R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4˚C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.


IF(ICC) staining with Calponin (19A1) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52358R) at 1:100 in HepG2 cells (green). The nuclear counterstain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS.


Paraformaldehyde-fixed and paraffin-embedded Human breast tissue incubated with Calponin (19A1) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52358R) at 1:100, overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary antibody and DAB staining. Counterstained with hematoxylin.
