Background:
Binds to activated (phosphorylated) protein-Tyr kinases, through its SH2 domain, and acts as an adapter, mediating the association of the p11 catalytic unit to the plasma membrane. Necessary for the insulin-stimulated increase in glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in insulin-sensitive tissues. Plays an important role in signaling in response to FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, FGFR4, KITLG/SCF, KIT, PDGFRA and PDGFRB. Likewise, plays a role in ITGB2 signaling.

VALIDATION IMAGES
Lane 1: U937; Lane 2: Raji cell lysate probed with PIK3R1 (9B3) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52219M) at 1:1000 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by a conjugated secondary antibody.
MCF7 cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.25% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% normal goat serum in PBS, and stained with PIK3R1 (9B3) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52219M) at 1:200 in blocking solution. Slides were incubated overnight at 4°C followed by FITC conjugated secondary antibody inclubation and DAPI staining of the nucleus.
