Host: Rabbit
Target Protein: PTP1B (Ser-50)
Specificity: The antibody detects a 50 kDa* doublet corresponding to PTP1B in western blots of calyculin A treated human A431 and Jurkat cells. This reactivity is observed as a weak singlet in control cells and is not observed after lambda phosphatase treatment. This sequence has significant homology to the conserved site in rat and mouse PTP1B, and has homology to conserved sites in TC-PTP and MPTP, but not other protein tyrosine phosphatase family members.
Modification Site: Ser-50
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Swiss Prot: P18031
Source: PTP1B (Ser-50) synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) corresponds to amino acids surrounding Ser-50 in human PTP1B.
Purification: Antigen Affinity purification
Storage Buffer: PBS + 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.05% NaN3 and 50% glycerol
Storage: Storage at -20°C is recommended, as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
