Host: Rabbit
Target Protein: PTP1B (N-terminal region)
Specificity: The antibody detects a 50 kDa* band corresponding to PTP1B in western blots of human A431, Jurkat, HeLa, and mouse SYF cells. This reactivity can be specifically blocked using PTP1B (a.a. 146-157) peptide (PX2355). This sequence has significant homology to the conserved site in rat and mouse PTP1B, and has homology to TC-PTP and MPTP, but not other protein tyrosine phosphatase family members.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Swiss Prot: P18031
Source: PTP1B synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) corresponds to amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PTP1B.
Purification: Antigen Affinity purification
Storage Buffer: PBS + 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.05% NaN3 and 50% glycerol
Storage: Storage at -20°C is recommended, as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
