Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional coactivator that regulates the genes involved in energy metabolism. This protein interacts with PPARgamma, which permits the interaction of this protein with multiple transcription factors. This protein can interact with, and regulate the activities of cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) and nuclear respiratory factors (NRFs). It provides a direct link between external physiological stimuli and the regulation of mitochondrial biogenesis, and is a major factor that regulates muscle fiber type determination. This protein may be also involved in controlling blood pressure, regulating cellular cholesterol homoeostasis, and the development of obesity (referenced from entrez gene.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded mouse liver labeled with Anti-PPARGC1A/PGC1 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1832R) at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded rat kidney labeled with Anti-PPARGC1A/PGC1 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated(bs-1832R) 1:200, overnight at 4°C, The secondary antibody was Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Cy3 conjugated(bs-0295G-Cy3)used at 1:200 dilution for 40 minutes at 37°C.
L1 rat brain lysates L2 rat kidney lysates probed with Anti PPARGC1A/PGC1 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1832R) at 1:200 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:3000 for 90 min at RT. Predicted band 88kD. Observed band size:88kD.\n
Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded Mouse liver; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with PGC1 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1832R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, DAB staining.
HepG2 cells were fixed with 4% PFA for 10min at room temperature,permeabilized with 90% ice-cold methanol for 20 min at -20℃, and incubated in 5% BSA blocking buffer for 30 min at room temperature. Cells were then stained with PGC1 alpha Polyclonal Antibody(bs-1832R)at 1:100 dilution in blocking buffer and incubated for 30 min at room temperature, washed twice with 2%BSA in PBS, followed by secondary antibody incubation for 40 min at room temperature. Acquisitions of 20,000 events were performed. Cells stained with primary antibody (green), and isotype control (orange).
