Background:

Senses unfolded proteins in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum via its N-terminal domain which leads to enzyme auto-activation. The active endoribonuclease domain splices XBP1 mRNA to generate a new C-terminus, converting it into a potent unfolded-protein response transcriptional activator and triggering growth arrest and apoptosis.

Lane 1: Human 293T cell lysates; Lane 2: Human DU145 cell lysates; Lane 3: Human HeLa cell lysates; Lane 4: Human Jurkat cell lysates probed with phospho-IRE1 (Ser724) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-16698R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.
