Background:

Binds to collagen, thrombospondin, anionic phospholipids and oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL). May function as a cell adhesion molecule. Directly mediates cytoadherence of Plasmodium falciparum parasitized erythrocytes. Binds long chain fatty acids and may function in the transport and/or as a regulator of fatty acid transport (By similarity). Receptor for thombospondins, THBS1 AND THBS2, mediating their antiangiogenic effects (By similarity). As a coreceptor for TLR4-TLR6, promotes inflammation in monocytes/macrophages. Upon ligand binding, such as oxLDL or amyloid-beta 42 binding, rapidly induces the formation of a heterodimer of TLR4 and TLR6, which is internalized and triggers inflammatory signals, leading to the NF-kappa-B-dependent production of CXCL1, CXCL2 and CCL9 cytokines, via MYD88 signaling pathway, and CCL5 cytokine, via TICAM1 signaling pathway, as well as IL1B secretion.

VALIDATION IMAGES

Mouse heart lysates probed with Rabbit Anti-CD36 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1100R) at 1:300 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:500 for 90 min at RT.


Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded rat heart tissue labeled with Anti-CD36/PAS-4 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1100R) at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining.


Lane 1: Mouse Placenta tissue lysates; Lane 2: Mouse Raw264.7 cell lysates; Lane 3: Rat Placenta tissue lysates; Lane 4: Human HUVEC cell lysates; Lane 5: Human HL-60 cell lysates probed with CD36 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1100R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.


Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded Human Spleen; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15 min; Antibody incubation with CD36 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated(bs-1100R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, followed by conjugation to the SP Kit (Rabbit, SP-0023) and DAB (C-0010) staining.


Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded Human Heart; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15 min; Antibody incubation with CD36 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated(bs-1100R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, followed by conjugation to the SP Kit (Rabbit, SP-0023) and DAB (C-0010) staining.


25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with CD36 polyclonal antibody, unconjugated (bs-1100R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
