Background:

Transcription factor that specifically binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Regulates transcription in a number of tissues in addition to activating immunoglobulin gene expression. Modulates transcription transactivation by NR3C1, AR and PGR. Isoform OCT2.5 activates the U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) promoter. Isoforms OCT2.1, OCT2.2 and OCT2.3 activate octamer-containing promoters. Isoforms OCT2.4 and OCT2.5 repress some promoters and activate others. Isoform OCT2.7 is unable to bind to the octamer motif, but can still activate the beta-casein gene promoter at low levels.

Lane 1: A549 cell lysates probed with Rabbit Anti-OCT2 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1077R) at 1:300 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:5000 for 90 min at RT.


HeLa lysates probed with Rabbit Anti-OCT2 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1077R) at 1:300 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by a conjugated secondary antibody for 90 min at 37˚C.


Lane 1: mouse embryo lysates Lane 2: human colon carcinoma lysates probed with Anti OCT2 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1077R) at 1:200 in 4C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:3000 90min in RT. Predicted band 51kD. Observed band size: 51kD


Lane 1: Mouse Lymph node tissue lysates; Lane 2: Rat Lymph node tissue lysates probed with OCT2 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1077R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.
